SSHS e-Learning Platform

Free online courses to build knowledge, confidence and support better conversations about relationships and sexual health.

The SSHS e-Learning Platform is available to anyone across Suffolk who works with, supports or educates young people, as well as professionals in public-facing roles who may have conversations about relationships, sexual health, support and signposting. It is also available to students studying or living in Suffolk who are interested in health and wellbeing, supporting their learning and further professional development.

This includes professionals, organisations and community services such as:

  • Teachers and education staff delivering Relationships, Sex and Health Education (RSHE)
  • Youth workers and youth services
  • Homelessness and housing support services
  • Charities and voluntary organisations
  • Health and Wellbeing Professionals
  • Community organisations and other services supporting young people
  • Anyone working with young people who would benefit from developing their knowledge and confidence around RSHE topics

The courses are free, self-led and flexible, and are made up of short modules featuring video presentations delivered by members of our experienced team. This allows learners to develop their knowledge at their own pace and at a time that suits them.

Courses include:

  • Sex, Consent and Confidentiality
  • Contraception, STIs and Local Sexual Health Services
  • Growing Up in an Online World
  • Relationships
  • LGBTQ+ Inclusivity and Sexual Health
  • The Impacts of Sexist Language and Stereotyping (Violence Against Women and Girls)

Please note that the platform goes live on Monday 14 September, where the first course Sex, Consent and Confidentiality will be available. This course consists of three modules and participants will have a short quiz after each module to check their knowledge and understanding. Following this, SSHS will release a further course each month throughout the year until all courses are available.
