Suffolk Sexual Health Service is supporting Sexual Health Week 2026 (Monday 14 to 20 September), encouraging people across Suffolk to connect, communicate and feel more confident talking about sexual health and relationships.
This year’s theme, ‘Let’s Connect’, highlights the importance of meaningful human connection, from our relationships with others to understanding our own bodies, emotions and needs.
To mark the week, Suffolk Sexual Health Service will launch a new sexual health eLearning platform, providing an accessible and free way for professionals across Suffolk, including those working with young people and those in public facing roles where sexual health and relationships may be discussed to build their knowledge and confidence around all things Relationships, Sex and Health Education (RSHE).
The platform will consist of a variety of different courses and modules, with the first course available being ‘Sex, Consent and Confidentiality’. The service will then release a new learning course each month, including modules on areas such as ‘growing up in an online world, ‘pornography vs real life intimate relationships’ and ‘contraception and sexually transmitted infections.
The Outreach and Education Team will also be out and about across the county throughout the week engaging with students and young people to raise awareness of the week and ensure that people know how to access local sexual health and other relevant services.

“Connection can mean many different things, from communicating with a partner and understanding our own needs, to feeling confident asking questions or reaching out for support when we need it.
“We want people across Suffolk to know that sexual health is an important part of our overall health and wellbeing, and that our team is here to provide confidential, non-judgemental advice and support.”
During Sexual Health Week, the service will be sharing information and resources across its digital channels, helping to challenge stigma and make conversations about sexual health and relationships feel more normal.
Suffolk Sexual Health Service is commissioned by Suffolk County Council and delivered by Provide Community, an employee-owned Community Interest Company delivering health and social care services.
